WHITEWATER (June 30, 2008) – The owners of Rosa’s Pizza (Rosa’s) announced today that they have purchased Double Dip Deli and will be expanding Rosa’s by moving into 180 W. Main St. in Whitewater, WI. The new Rosa’s, in addition to its Italian menu, will continue to feature some of the popular items from the Double Dip Deli menu including ice cream/desserts, soup bar, and salad bar.
After a successful run for over 17 years as owner of Double Dip Deli, Bill Bowen has decided to pursue other interests. Double Dip Deli, a favorite deli for many Whitewater residents, will close on June 30th and reopen as Rosa’s Pizza on July 8th. Sean Stemper and Andy Marzahl, owners of Rosa’s, see the purchase of Double Dip Deli as a perfect fit and logical move to expand the presence of Rosa’s.
“This purchase gives us an opportunity to expand our menu and gives us the space to offer our customers a comfortable, yet affordable, dining experience,” states Andy Marzahl, co-owner of Rosa’s. Rosa’s will continue to operate out of its current location at 113 N. Second St. while the final changes are completed.
A sneak preview of the new location is scheduled from 10 am – 2 pm on Friday, July 4, 2008. A limited menu including pizza, ice cream, and sandwiches will be offered to parade goers.
Rosa’s Pizza has been operating in the Whitewater community since 1997. The menu, available for dining in, carry out or delivery will include pizza, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, soup/salad, ice cream and desserts. Rosa’s will be open 7 days a week, 11 am to late night.
